Retweets are indeed an excellent measure of influence on Twitter. Crowdbooster captures both “old-school” and “new-style” retweets.
- “Old-school” retweets refer to tweets sent out with the format “RT @crowdbooster...” or “...via @crowdbooster”. We currently count these as retweets so long as the body of the original tweet isn’t altered in any manner.
-
"New-style" retweets are captured when tweets are retweeted using Twitter's "Retweet" button.
We are currently working to capture others ways in which users communicate retweets. If you have any suggestions, please leave a comment on our Feedback page.
